Who we are
Filial is built by Filial Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202640091H), a company registered in Singapore. We are responsible for the personal data described on this page, and we handle it in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Filial is in early access. It is open by invitation only, and the public demo uses a fictional record.
What we collect
- When you request early access: your email address and, if you choose to tell us, your country and what you're interested in.
- When you register interest in working with us: your email address and, if you add one, a link to your LinkedIn profile, portfolio or CV.
- When you are invited to use Filial: your name, email address and sign-in details; the documents and information you add to a care record; the questions you ask; and any feedback you send us, which can include a screenshot.
- When you visit the site: the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to open the demo, and the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Please don't send us medical information by email or through the early access form. A care record inside Filial is the only place for it.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and invite you when a place opens.
- To run Filial for you: building the care record, answering your questions from it, and keeping your account secure.
- To fix problems and improve the product.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Information in a care record
A care record holds health information about someone you care for, so we treat it as the most sensitive data we hold. It is visible to you and the people you choose to share it with, and we limit our own access to what is needed to support you and keep the service secure. Nothing becomes part of the record until you have confirmed it.
Filial uses an AI service to read the documents you add and to answer your questions. That provider processes the information on our behalf and does not use it to train its models.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run Filial: website and database hosting, document storage, email delivery, and the AI service described above. They may only use it to provide their service to us. Some of them are located outside Singapore; when data is transferred overseas, we take the steps the PDPA requires to keep it protected to a comparable standard.
We may also disclose data where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep early access and careers details until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them. If you have an account, you can delete it from within Filial. Deleting your account removes the documents you added and the information drawn from them.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and have it removed. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this page
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
